Aarhus is the European capital of culture in 2017. The city is very nice, also a river passes through it, which I love. After that went to see a famous little street with sweet houses, which was very Scandinavian in my opinion. Furthermore, we went into a mall called ‘Salling’ which itself as mall was already really nice, but it has a huge and really nice roof top bar and a viewing platform with glass floor.
We also visited the famous museum ARoS, which was a bit strange and creepy, but all together very interesting and we were glad that we visited it!
We had another free day last week, so Julia and I decided to go on another excursion.
This time we went to the island Ærø, which was a journey of approximately 3 hours, but it was definitely worth it! We didn’t have a program planned, so we just walked around and enjoyed what we found. Read more!
Last week, there was the Blomsterfestival in Odense, Denmark, which was a flower festival. There were different stations all around town with flower set-ups, music playing, people dancing and also little games. All together the festival was really nice and we enjoyed it much, the town was filled with happiness and peacefulness!
Yesterday’s trip was to Kerteminde which was an approximately 40-minute bus ride.
We left pretty late, so when we arrived it was already lunchtime. We chose a sweet restaurant by the water, called Cafe Nova, where we ate Nachos, which were yummy. I also like that we got water as well to our drink orders, as this is not very common in Germany unfortunately. Read more!
I was lucky enough to go on a very short trip to Australia for a wedding. You might not know that I spent a year in Australia in Western Australia a couple of years ago, but I went back two weeks ago to visit my host family for the wedding and I just wanted to share a couple of impressions! I didn’t have too much time for any sightseeing or taking many pictures in general but I must say, that I love Australia’s sunsets and landscape so much! So, that’s basically all I took pictures off.
Two friends and I went to the Netherlands for a day last week, to be more specific to Kerkrade. That we went there was a random choice, because we started driving in the direction of Netherlands with the train and then looked on the map and chose the closest town to our point which we could reach with our ticket. So, this is how we chose Kerkrade of which I hadn’t heard before, but when we arrived we realized that the town had a large music festival going on! In town, there were little bands and marching bands and the whole town square was built up for people to eat/drink and have fun!
Last year on the same visit in the USA when we went to Jacksonville, we also visited Washington DC. We got there by Bus and stayed in an Airbnb nearby to be flexible. Nearby is an understatement though, as we still had to walk very far to get everywhere, but it was nice. Unfortunately most of the pictures look sad, because the weather was really cold and rainy when we were there in December.
Causas is a Peruvian restaurant I went to with a friend and we decided to share a couple of starters rather than main courses so we could try more different things. So we had Anticuchitos de Pollo, Empanadas Fritas de Carne, Causa de Pollo and Yucas Fritas con Huancaina. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the Empanadas, but they and everything we ate was really yummy! I can definitely reccommend the food! Read more!
Who doesn’t have a travel bucket list? I, of course, have one, too, and I would love to visit at least some but as many as possible of these places! And when I do, you hopefully will be able to read about them in my blog hehe!
It’s basically a list for people who want to travel and don’t know what to see next or if they know they’re heading to one destination and want to see what else they might discover on that trip. So you can either use it as a help for traveling or that you actually want to try to see all of these places.Read more!
We went to Würzburg last weekend and also went to the residence in town. We didn’t make a residence tour but a tour of the wine cellar, which was very interesting.
At first, because we had time, we had a walk through the park which is part of the residence. Although the current weather it was very nice, in summer however the park is full with flowers and really relaxing! (I’ve been there years ago) Read more!
